Lord Damodar
On the serene banks of the Kushawati River, Shri Damodar Temple has stood as one of Goa’s most revered spiritual centres for over five centuries — an unbroken chain of devotion connecting the ancient to the living.
The deity, Lord Damodar — a rare incarnation of Lord Shiva uniquely enshrining both a Shiva Linga and Lakshmi Narayana — draws pilgrims from across India. Part of the sacred Ekadasha Teertha circuit, the temple is the spiritual heart of the Goud Saraswat Brahmin community.
